I believe that we, here in the United States, are on course to experience a food crisis.

There are multiple layers to this on coming catastrophe - I see it the following way:
The modern human in todays modern society seems to be -

1) Dissconected from the food we eat. The ultra processed products of industrial food industries make it easy to loose sight of the living nature of food and where it comes from. Whole food ingredients are sadly a foreign concept to many people living in poverty and depending on food stamps and supplemental food programs, all

2) Malnourished, due to
> Processed, nutrient stripped & artificially shelf stabilized food
> Degradation of top soil, loss of nutrition in produce
> Poisonous effects of Pesticides

3) Distanced from our heritage - culture is a human technology that allows us to preserve the technologies and wisdom that most effectively aids in our survival and reproduction.

This crisis is avoidable.

But in order to do so, we must as a nation reconsider the very fundamentals of our relationship with food.
